Chocolate goodness for breakfast!

This nutrient rich smoothie has a half-cup of strawberries, half of a banana, 4 oz of aloe juice, and 8 oz of the new Silk dark chocolate almond milk! It’s 150 calories for the whole thing, has 45% of the recommended daily amount (RDA) of calcium, 30% of the RDA of vitamin D, and it’s loaded with antioxidants!  And. it has a serving of fruit! This chocolate smoothie is super nutritious and of course, absolutely delicious!

Power-packed breakfast sammy

What’s on my plate today?  Just an amazing power breakfast sandwich!

I started with Ezekiel English muffin, topped with a ½ ounce of wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon, and thinly sliced avocado.  Then I took 1 brown egg and scrambled it in a pan with a handful off baby spinach, added a little fresh ground pepper and a dash of salt and devoured it right away!  Total calorie count, you ask?? About 200 calories!

Tis the season for an abundance of fresh fruits and veggies. Here’s how I’m taking advantage! My new favorite breakfast… Fresh strawberries quartered, with half of a fresh apricot, topped with a ½ cup of strawberry, vanilla, and hemp granola, covered with 4 ounces of Lifeway Organic Green Kefir acai berry and pomegranate – it makes the best cereal ever! You can substitute different fruits or flavors of kefir to make your own amazing cereal combination. Calorie count of this super healthy nutritious breakfast delight – 360 calories – I also add a tablespoon of chia seeds on some days. This adds about 80 more calories, but they are certainly worth it because they are so nutritious. This week’s snacks included fresh raw veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots) with reduced fat ranch. Now this is what I call an awesome 100 calorie snack! ifeway Organic Green Kefir acai berry and pomegranate – it makes the best cereal ever!
